2024 Niro PHEV

Happy New Year all. Vaguely thinking of changing to the above. Can anyone give me the TRUE mileage on PURE Epower only? I read that it is 40miles (by Kia) 38 by some people and as low as 25miles. What is the truth, Both winter and summer. Also I assume it has an EV button that stops the ICE kicking ...

Re: Electronic brake

When my auto-hold turns itself off my e-handbrake is NOT applied automatically, hence my comment about keeping your foot ready to stamp on the foot brake. Perhaps this is the difference between the HEV & the BEV? Though I cannot understand why? Kia do do some damn stupid things though ,so nothin...

Re: Electronic brake

Hello, Welcome to the forum. I have a '71 eNiro, so e handbrake most likely to be the same. It does not apply when you remove the key (I don't have a key of course, so read 'when I switch off'. All the ebrakes I have come across 'let go' as soon as you move under engine power. Use of brake hold/ you...

Re: 12V Battery issues

Why don't you email the dealer with the facts you have quoted here and see what they say. If they poo-poo it then I would take it up with Kia sending them the information. Following no action from either, how about a solicitor's letter to both? Or, since you have to go to the mainland, try another d...

Re: Charging problems

After an AWFUL lot of faffing about Hendy discovered it required a software update. Apparently the need for that has never, in their experience, come to light. It now charges perfectly.

Re: New member - heading to pick up Niro tomorrow

Welcome to the forum and your new car! PHEV driving is not that much different to driving a pure 'ICE' car. To make it as economical as possible, (which presumably is why you bought it) always use the flappy paddles for MAX REGEN and to slow. This will also make your brake pads last longer. My eNiro...
