Re: Is Kia customer service always rubbish ?

Certainly not in my case. My dealer Dover Garage, Aldershot, have given outstanding service to me, and to others I know who use them. Obsolutely no complaints.

Re: Foot Parking Brake

I have got used to the foot parking brake now and quite like it. I would not recommmend anyone to rely on the Park position only. Like the majority of automatics a degree of creep is present in drive, which I think is unnecessary, but I suppose the manufacturer wanted to make it feel like other cars.

You would have difficulty in buying any car that would not give a better result. Are you sure your present car uses 1.6 gall. of fuel per mile?

Re: Autocar - long-term impressions of the Kia Niro

I am very impressed and had no problems with my Niro 2. The fuel consumption on long journeys has been up to 72 mile/gall, and on short runs it varies from 52 to nearly 60 mile/gall, and it does everything I expected, and more. I especially like the quietness and refinement. Initially I didnt like t...

Re: Insurance

I had a similar reply, but the very helpful person did say that the insurance industry was looking at the statistics, and cars with this facility did appear to be having fewer accidents. He went on to add that it might take a year, but it was likely a discount would be given for vehicles with this f...

Re: MIne is here!

Another weeks motoring, this time nearly all shortish journeys. My fuel consumption has dropped under these conditions, but has still averaged 62.4 mile/gall. What I have noticed is that when stationary with the radio on, I keep getting a warning that the 12v battery is is becoming discharged. Has a...

Re: Battery In The Boot

I believe it is it is charged from a regulated supply from the 240 Volt system. There is no separate 12V alternator. It is needed to switch on and operate the 12v systems on the car. The technology was obviously beyond many writers working for car magazines, and one report claimed there was no 12v b...

Re: MIne is here!

I meant to say I don't like the boot cover catch design, and feel this could have been done better. I usually get one side in and not the other!
