Re: When to use HEV setting rather than EV ?
Thanks for the interesting opinions on when to use the EV and Hybrid in the Niro. 1. Can anybody tell me if there are two batteries in the Niro PHEV one for the Electric vehicle and one for the Hybrid 'part' of the car>? 2. When does the Hybrid battery charge>? - is it on slow speeds and downhill\fr...

Is there a difference is size between the boot (trunk) of a Kia Niro and a Kia Niro PLUG IN>?

Is the boot smaller in this Niro PHEV>? Also how about the distance you can get on electric power - how far can you go>?

Re: Remove the battery
Surely somebody knowledgeable in Kia Motors (maybe reading this) will give us reliable information about the length of time it is ok to leave the car unused>? Or maybe it is not a problem at all>? All battery manufacturers will tend to advocate not leaving the battery for long periods - but this is ...

Re: Autocar - long-term impressions of the Kia Niro
A strange thing for me with the Niro is that fuel consumption is best in slow moving traffic. Travelling 120 km / hr gives the worst results for petrol usage- judging from the information on the dash. If I really put the boot down, I pay for it! I haven't yet done an independent mileage check. Will ...

Talking about the hybrid battery and charging. Does anybody know if the car is left unused for say a month, is the hybrid battery ok to do this?

Re: Resume cruise control
I have found the 'cruise control' to be very erratic. When set for example at 70 mph, the car accelerates to 75mph for seemingly no reason -has anybody else found anything like this? This can be a little disconcerting?? - Terry (Ireland)

Re: Battery Life??
Talking about batteries - 1. does anybody know if there is a problem for the Hybrid battery if the car is left unused for a month or so? 2. Not related -but I find the 'cruise control' reacts very erratically - when set for say, 60 mph, it seems to speed up for no reason to 65mph - not very re-assur...
