Goodbye Niro, Hello Ioniq
The 2 year lease ended on Friday and the Niro 2 went back. Last weekend I bought an 18 month old Hyundai Ioniq. I did offer to buy the Niro from the lease company but they declined to sell. Used prices on the Niro were more expensive than the Ioniq and I fancied a change anyway. Here's a few comment...

Re: Is Kia customer service always rubbish ?
To answer my original question - No....... it's actually worse than rubbish, it's appalling. Took my Niro in for the product recall two weeks ago. I got the car back 9 days later. Again, my wife had to come to the rescue as I was stranded at work. Good job her Kuga is a Ford and not a Kia as that we...

Re: Is Kia customer service always rubbish ?
My dealer is Drayton Motors kia near Boston 175 from home in Bristol. Cant fault them at all, unlike the Bristol kia who I wont go through the door. like any goods choose your dealer wisely and worth traveling for a good one. Perhaps they value your custom from farther away and treat you better? bu...

Re: Is Kia customer service always rubbish ?
The service manager has contacted me only after I escalated the case within the group. We'll see what happens. I'd rather not reveal the dealer name just yet. As for clutch fluid, you'll find it under the bonnet. It takes normal DOT 3, which must be a rare commodity round these parts. http://www.kni...

Is Kia customer service always rubbish ?
I had my first taste of Kia customer service last week. My car was booked in for its 1st service (1 year, 10k) and I arrived at 08:30 on Saturday morning. I had informed them that I would wait for the car as the dealer is next to a retail park where I could lose myself for a couple of hours. Within ...

Re: Air recirculation function
I've managed to turn off the ADS. The air recirculation still shuts off after 5 minutes but at least I can choose to select it when I want, and not when the car thinks I should. To cancel -

Air recirculation function
Does anyone know how to stop the Niro turning off the air recirculation function. I choose to drive with the air-con on and the air recirc function on but every five minutes the car thinks it knows best and turns air recirc off, resulting in another lung full of diesel fumes from the traffic in fron...

Re: No jack and wheel wrench - is this normal ?
As there is no spare in the Niro you wouldn't need to change the wheel at the roadside, so why carry any jack? The OP took the wheel off when he got home.... I will now definitely carry a jack all the time. Pure chance that it happened on my journey home. It could easily have happened going to work...

No jack and wheel wrench - is this normal ?
I had a puncture on the Niro last week. Discovered a nail in the rear tyre after the sensor noted the pressure was down on it. That's the first time I've had pressure sensors on a car and it probably saved more damage to the tyre - I'm impressed . I had reached home so planned to whip off the wheel ...

Niro 2 coming tomorrow
Hi all. I thought I'd sign up and join the club. My Niro 2 gets delivered tomorrow so I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces. I'm not your usual car driver as cars don't do anything for me (but two wheels do !) so it will just be a company car workhorse. I'm leasing the car on a 2 year ...
