Re: Lead time/waiting time
Have not been on the site for quite a long time and read with sympathy of those having a long wait for their new Niros. I waited over 6 months for mine which I took delivery of in June ‘17. I like the car a lot. But then in April this year I collapsed and suffered a life threatening and complicated ...

Re: ONLINE SERVICE MANUAL
Thanks for the link. Haven't read it all...yet!!!!!!!! But maybe it'll be better than the in-car manual.

Bang!
Having read , with sympathy, about the vehicle damage experienced by one of the group, I got whacked today by white van man emerging from a side road. Luckily the guy didn't try to drive off and admitted responsibility. And my Niro didn't crumple despite taking a a hefty side swipe. Very impressed w...

Temporary Spare wheel and tyre
Not a fan of "the whipped cream puncture repair pack". So I am back to considering carrying a temporary spare. After a recent tour which gave excellent mpg despite being fully laden, I don't think a spare would make much difference to performance. Has anyone installed / used a temporary sp...

Re: Car mats included?
Maybe it depends on the dealer? My mats were "thrown in" as part of the deal. However I still use thick rubber mats and boot liner from my previous Merc B Class on top to keep the Niro mats clean....how sad is that! I also asked for the Diamondize body and interior protection treatment, ad...

Re: Real world fuel economy
I've just returned from a week's vacation. The round tour was about 500 miles. This included a very time consuming bank holiday return! The car was fully loaded with gear and two adults. The outward journey gave 66 mpg and the return 69.2. Most of the journey was at around 55-65 mph, with a few stre...

Re: Alloy Wheels
Evidently there are "black" alloys lurking behind the plastic trims. I was a bit concerned about this at first but my dealer said replacement trims are very much cheaper to replace if damaged than an exposed alloy. The plastic trims are certainly easier to clean than an alloy.

6 weeks in....so what's it like?
After 6 weeks ownership I am beginning to draw some conclusions about my Niro2 with ADAP. Having waited 6 months for it, I was concerned that it just would not come up to my long awaited expectations. I had not seen the blue colour I ordered until the day it arrived. Now having seen other Niro aroun...

Re: Air-con not cold
Mine seems cool enough. Just make sure the dial is turned anti- clockwise several times. It doesn't have a stop point.

Re: Fuel consumption
Bit of a conundrum! I have 217 miles on the clock and the full fuel gauge, which started at 500 miles, shows 320 miles of fuel left. On some local journeys of say 6 miles, the fuel gauge registers a couple of miles worth of petrol used. Am beginning to achieve electric mode far more than I really ex...
