Re: Niro DashCam install

Had my Nextbase, which I already owned, fitted by Halfords. Charged £25 and did a wonderful neat job, absolute bargain especially as it now comes on automatically when the engine is started and powers done when engine shut down. No cables showing except for around 1 inch where it comes down from the...

Re: 2019 "4" USB ports/Android Auto

Hi Martin Not sure how you have been trying to connect your phone but Andriod Auto requires the phone to be connect via the usb port by the wireless charging mat on the car. Once connected by the cable just follow the insructions on the phone and head unit also ensuring that tethering has bee activa...

Re: Asthmatic air con after long journey

Not had that issue with the aircon but having issues with the air con ventilated seats on my Niro 4. The aircon in the car is working fine but the aircon seats have packed up. Can no longer make the seats cool in this hot weather. May be a lose connection under the seat but this is affecting both fr...

Re: Do the driver and passenger seats soften ul in Kia Niro?

I guess it could depend on the level of the Niro. I have a Niro 4 with the leather seats and have found no issues with them being hard. Can't spea for the cloth covered seats but i would have thought the generic seat design is the same in whatever model you buy, just the seat trim being different.

Re: Niro in winter conditions - advice please

Hi Kat I have a Niro 4 self charging model like you are looking at and have had no issues what so ever driving in winter through, snow, ice and rain. Like any car you have to take into account the road conditions at the time. The Niro is a lovely car to drive with the fuel economy to go with it. The...

Re: Radio glitching

Had the same issue with my Niro, wouldn't pick up any DAB stations one day and then was fine the next. Fortunately the day I took it to the dealer no DAB stations. Problem identified as a faulty shark fin aerial and replaced under KIA warrenty. Has been good ever since with no reception issues.

Re: SatNav display

You can leave it auto mode and it will scale the maps to give what the system thinks is the best view. If you want you can overide this by tapping the auto key on the sat nav and then set the scale at whatever distance you wish. The system will use this distance setting for all mapping until you tap...

Re: Minor irritation with Niro

Digital speedo in the middle of the instrument cluster can't change it from mph to kph as in most other Kia models. Useful when motoring abroad.

Re: New Kia Niro owner

Hi Alan Many thanks for the links, think i will go down the self installation route providing the fuse fits. The tutoral is informative and should help make installation easier. Would appreciate if you could let me know, and for other Niro owners thinking of self installation, if the fuse works. Tha...
