Re: Best and Worst Thing About Your Niro
Didn't realise you were getting one free as part of promo so probably wont be a choice. I bought my PHEV ex demo earlier this year so had to pay. Having said that it was only £149 after the grant.

Re: Best and Worst Thing About Your Niro
Congratulations and Gravity Blue is a really good colour (mine is Gravity Blue also!). If you are going to get a home charger I used ChargedEV who supplied me with a 7KW Chargemaster box and did a really good job. ChargedEV were recommended by my dealer. I went for the upgraded 7KW charger as it was...

Re: Best and Worst Thing About Your Niro
Yes the PHEV comes with a tyre repair kit which is fine for a simple puncture. I've not heard of a loan tyre service but there is 12 months RAC cover included with the car.

Re: Best and Worst Thing About Your Niro
Hi I test drove both the Ioniq and Niro and bought the Niro. In a lot of respects there isn't much to choose between them as they are essentially the same car with different clothes on. I prefer the Niro style and also think the interior fit and finish is much nicer than the Ioniq, for example the c...

Re: PHEV Charging
With regard to the battery discharge.....my understanding is that in EV mode the electric motor is the primary drive with petrol engine for assistance and once the battery is down to around 15% (0 EV miles) it switches to HEV mode where the petrol engine is primary with battery for assistance. if yo...

Re: Charging Time
As far as I am aware the PHEV will only charge at 3.6KW irrespective of the charger. I have a 7KW Chargemaster charger at home because it was only an additional £20 but I wont get the benefit of it with the current PHEV.

Yes it is weatherproof, to what extent I'm not sure (standards etc) but is protected against water ingress from rain etc.

Re: Trickle Charging
Hi - by trickle charger I assume you mean the 13A mains charger that is supplied with the Niro PHEV. Officially it is not recommended for everyday use but many people do. I used it regularly before I had my charger fitted and it worked fine although took about an hour longer than my Chargemaster cha...

Re: PHEV Instrument Cluster
yes - it can display next turn etc in the instrument cluster. I believe it is identical to the standard Niro in that respect.
