Re: Michelin Cross Climate - fuel economy impact?

Had my front tyres changed last week after nearly 24k. Went for Michelin Cross Climates, garage advised to put these on the front and keep OEMs on the rear. Don't know yet about any fuel economy impact but it's noticeably quieter in the cabin.

Re: Bulb upgrade

Is it easy to change the bulbs, please. The originals are pretty poor, aren't they, and the Nightbreaker Lasers look as though they would definitely be an improvement.

Re: Petrol consumption in EV mode

Thanks, I'll give that a try. A 10 mile trip today (with heater on) didn't use any petrol, only electric. It's very erratic.

Re: Unable to charge and Check Hybrid System warning

I've had this same "non-charging" problem, too, and the charging door rarely opens when pressed, I need to use my fingernails to get it to open.

Petrol consumption in EV mode

My Niro (PHEV) seems to be using a lot of petrol when it's in EV mode. First noticed this at the beginning of last month when a four mile trip saw the petrol gauge go down by 8 miles while the EV gauge was also reducing but at a slower rate. I always have the car in EV mode, letting it switch itself...

Re: PHEV charging cable

Comment for Brian: I'm thinking of getting either the Rolec unit or the EO mini. Originally I was looking at tethered units but 5m is just a bit too short so I'll be buying a separate 10m cable to keep at home. It'll add about £160/£180 to the cost so which unit I choose may boil down to which is th...
