To be fair; dealer replaced this promptly...under warranty.
I'll be opening the doors very gingerly from now on!
But it's a potential problem that's worth keeping an eye on.

The T handle has been pretty much standard on automatics for years; and Kia want to retain traditional styling and approach rather than go down the futuristic road (hah). So I'm not surprised they've used a T handle here.

Yes it is an unusual sensation, a bit worrying if pulling out into busy traffic - (I usually switch to Sport for this). I've had hill-assist on previous cars but you had to make a decision to use it by pressing very hard on brake pedal to engage. I wonder does the Niro always engage hill-assist when...
