Re: Wing / Door Mirror Glass Replacement, Ouch!
I carelessly broke my nearside mirror -- glass and casing - (2018 PHEV 3) when I clipped the skip that I'd had delivered into the drive. I was quoted the same £412 for the mirror and another £180 to paint it. Eventually I found a brand new part on ebay in Spain for 89.64 Euros - so I snapped it up. ...

Re: new to me niro phev
The 2020 Model only has a range of 36 Miles, and in common with any lithium battery, is never charged to 100% or discharged to zero. So the 94.4% sounds about right. My 2018 PHEV still gives me 36 miles indicated - and 36+ miles achieved if driven in 30mph speed limit areas without the aircon, but w...

2018 PHEV Tyre replacement
My 2018 PHEV 3 (which I bought as a 6 month old ex-demonstrator) is coming up to its 6 year MoT having done 38K miles on its original 16" Michellin Energy Saver Tyres. I think that is exceptional, having read of others needing to change the tyres after less than half that mileage. However, they...

Re: Flat Battery
earlier in the thread there was a suggestion that the lithium ion battery cannot charge the 12V battery. as davethetech states, there is a dc to dc converter to do just that. The PHEV has an aux battery saver function which automatically recharges the 12v battery from the main battery when the ignit...

Re: TPMS issues in cold weather
but....the car has an external temperature sensor....so if Kia were really smart, they would write their software to drop the low pressure warning threshold by a few psi for the first few miles on a cold day as they could predict that he pressures are expected to increase by 2-3 psi as the tyres war...

Re: Time for goodbye for our Niro PHEV and soon Hi to the e-Niro
i enjoyed the review, and agree with most of what you said, but... I use Lane Keep Assist all the time and it doesn't bounce me from one white line to the other...it keeps me bang centre in the lane. it sounds as if yours has a fault. You emphasise the relaxed drive, and lack of acceleration. You do...

Re: Phev v hev
forgot to mention...HEV has room in the boot for a full size spare wheel. PHEV cannot even accommodate a space saver. That (or other uses for the extra boot space might be the deciding factor in your decision. also PHEV and HEV have different paint options. The blue for the HEV is more appealing to ...

Re: Phev v hev
ive been using the granny charger for 8 months now (60 year old wiring) with no issues. getitng back to the original question. PHEV V HEV..... If you are only doing short journeys then with the PHEV you will only use petrol to run the heater, or to augment the electric motor if you want the extra pe...

Re: setting messed up
What model year is your PHEV? Mine was manufactured around the turn of the year 2017-18 and registered at the end of March 18; the barcode on the back of my manual is labelled JG5O-EA79B and the foreword is copyright 2017. I thought that prior to the 2019 model all the PHEV's sold in the UK were the...

Re: setting messed up
page 4-56 of my owners manual shows the controls I described in the previous reply. Page 4-77 shows the sequence of sets of pages (LCD modes) for the PHEVfor the PHEV. 1. Trip computer (you want that one) , 2 turn by turn (shows compass or Satnav instructions), 3. Assist mode (you currently are on t...
