Just a thought but when we got our (6 month old) niro it was set to US gallons. Your variance is about the right size to be caused by that.
Assuming you're just reading the numbers off the dash of course.

Re: Irritating Thumb Prints above the Lock on Rear Hatch
The problem occurs when opening the hatch - we both have arthritis and our thumbs contact the outside of the car when squeezing the opening pad. Ah. right. That's not fun, especially as something to look forward to in a few years. Mind you, I find you don't have to squeeze ours at all, just touch t...

Re: New to Niro 4 Hybrid
.. I did get chance to try a Toyota HRV hybrid before going for the Niro, but it seemed to me the rear of the car was too small and it seemed somewhat noisier with the CVT gearbox although the ride seemed about the same. For information, as this seems to be oft repeated, the Toyota "Hybrid Syn...

Re: Thule Freeride bike carrier
There is indeed a strip along the top and I was wondering if that could be removed to use the t-track system. I'll give it another go this weekend and let you know if it works. Normally what you have to do is to remove some of that strip and replace it with a bike carrier. It's a good idea to shove...

Re: Bulb upgrade
Thanks for the link. I might be safer going for one of those halogen bulbs that claims 20% - 50% extra brightness. My experience, from a previous car, is that the claimed difference doesn't manifest itself in real life. That is, you'll be lucky to tell the difference. I'm going to get some of the L...

Re: Bulb upgrade
I found a message on a US based forum for someone who'd bought some of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LASFIT-9005-HB3-LED-Headlight-Bulbs-6000K-Cool-White-Conversion-Kit-60w/292702593080?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Not sure whether they're road legal but they're...
