Re: E-Niro test drive
I fully expect there to be a 'black market' in these cars are there is such a long delivery time and such an ever-increasing demand. A lot of 'speculators' will be placing orders around the country and then selling their slot off at a premium when the three months point comes to people who can't be...

Re: E-Niro test drive
Was the 3.6kw per mile, surely it was better than that, the £0.30 per KW at some charging stations, comes out at £1 per mile Somebody needs to work on their maths... 30p per kWh works out at 8.3p per mile if 3.6miles per kWh. Still cheaper than most ICE cars can achieve and no one has a long range ...

Re: New to Forum - e-Niro ordered
Got a call from dealership that my E-Niro will be with me by the end of the month. The issue is there aren’t enough gravity blue cars to go round so I took one in graphite grey. Not a big deal for me and I blagged mud guards and mats as compensation. They’ve ordered a gravity blue for me and I’ll ge...

Re: New to Forum - e-Niro ordered
Went out in the demo for about an hour. Really nice drive. Little on the firm side which I’m used to and is fine. Regen is very intuitive with the paddles. One pedal driving definitely achievable once you get used to it. Power and acceleration is out of this world, especially in sport mode. Absolute...

Re: New to Forum - e-Niro ordered
I’ll be getting a 7kw charger installed. By my calculation it should take ~5hrs to put enough charge in for my daily commute. Just switched energy deal to Octopus go which gives 4 hours a night at £0.05 per kWh. It’ll cost me £2.40 to do my 130 mile commute each day with the added bonus of not havin...

Re: New to Forum - e-Niro ordered
Dealer’s demonstrator arrived today. According to the dealer all the demonstrators are leased to the dealerships to avoid them selling them on and all will return to HQ. I’m going to be taking it for an hour on Friday and will report back. I’ll try and grab a few cheeky photos too. My order is still...

Re: USB
It does seems to be powered permanently. I hadn't noticed that. On the other cars I have had, the USB has only been powered when the ignition has been on. The way the radio stays on after removing the key from the ignition, but turns off when when you open the driver's door seems a bit quirky too. ...

Re: PHEV OR HEV? High Mileage
Read my post. HEV for town driving is a perfectly acceptable option. Diesel would be far more economical for long haul mileage and generally cheaper to buy than HEVs. My 8 year old diesel insignia gets 50-55mpg without much effort on my daily commute (130 miles a road / motorway). Diesel is only a d...

Re: PHEV OR HEV? High Mileage
60000 miles? Geez. It’s either full electric or diesel for that kind of mileage. Full electric if you can find a car that’ll do your daily range. Diesel if not. Hybrid is pointless for that kind of mileage assuming most of it will be motorway / dual carriageway. Decent diesel will get better MPG tha...

New to Forum - e-Niro ordered
Evening all, Signed up to the forum to view everyone’s thoughts on the HEV and PHEV versions of the Niro before I placed a deposit on an e-Niro (first edition as that’s all you can get) last November. The order for the car was placed last week as soon as the order book opened. I am in the lucky posi...
