Re: E10 versus E5 Petrol

Thanks for your reply. I was mainly interested in mpg, but having read a few articles, I'm not convinced of the environmental benefits of E10.

E10 versus E5 Petrol

I have a 2017 hybrid and I first used E10 petrol early in December on a long return trip from Scotland to Liverpool. To my surprise I only averaged 44mpg in both directions. This was with three up and light luggage. Recently I completed a return trip from Scotland to Nottingham, but due to my disapp...

Re: Rear washer nozzle

The rear washer jet finally gave up and I could only get a couple of drops of water out. I removed the middle plastic cover at the top of the rear hatch and pulled out the rubber washer tube. There's an inline one-way valve, which wasn't working and so bought one off ebay for £2.50. All sorted now.

Re: Rear washer nozzle

Couldn't see any blockage and tried a toothbrush over the area, in case there was one. Still the same feeble single jet. If it should produce a spray, then it must be either partially blocked or a weak motor. It passed it's MOT, so I guess it satisfies the tester. Thanks.

Rear washer nozzle

Hi. My rear washer jet on my 2017 Niro 3 has become a dribble when operated. I noticed the problem after I washed the car and thought that I might have dislodged a nozzle that stood proud of the underside of the spoiler. I checked a new Niro in a Kia dealer today and there isn't a nozzle proud of th...

Re: Niro HEV end of lease deal

Hi djbobbins. I'm in a similar position to you. Got a 2017 Niro 3 in 2018 on a 3 year PCP, thinking I'd be doing 20k miles/year. Well because of Covid, I decided to retire in 2020 and I'm sitting at 38k miles, instead of the anticipated 60k-70k miles. The lease company will want £9,000 in August. Ch...

Re: Service cost

Key wording is "of equivalent quality." For a service, without repairing any faults, using Castrol/Shell oil/brake fluid and Bosch oil/air filters should be fine.

Re: Service cost

NiroMax thanks. I've decided to use a local owner managed independent garage to do my 4th service for £180. It's a garage I use for my wife's car and I'm happy with their service and the owner said that they would meet the spec. of Kia liquids etc. to maintain the warranty.
