Irritating Thumb Prints above the Lock on Rear Hatch

Having a white car I am irritated by the mucky thumb prints that regularly appear above the rear hatch lock. I spotted this 3M double backed reflective strip on Amazon a couple of days ago and fitted a piece this morning. I supposed I could have used clear tape or wrap – but that always seems to gat...

Re: New to Niro 4 Hybrid

The only rattles I get are from the rear seatbelts (buckles against hard plastic). I tend to keep them buckled up even when not carrying passengers. Otherwise my car is silent apart from tyre/road noise (with the occasional intrusion of the ICE). My Niro 2 has slots in the wheel arch plastic trim a...

Re: Switching to HEV from EV

For me it is interesting, but a rather academic matter. The engine has a 7 year or 100,000 mile warranty after all, and how many of us will keep the car that long?

Re: Kia e-Niro

I think that is standard for all models. It's a lot better than the previous method for other KIA/Hyundai models - you had to buy the update from the map supplier "HERE" at a cost of £139 if my memory serves me correctly. In the UK the £25 charge is to cover the KIA dealers labour. Other c...

Re: Sat Nav route options

The shortest route will sent you down narrow single track lanes with grass growing down the middle - if the sat nav thinks it can save 100 yards by cutting a corner - rather that going to the junction of the main roads where you could turn left or right. You will make things worse rather than better...

Installing VIOFO A129 Duo Dash Cams in my Niro

Until last week I had a VIOFO A119s V2 dash cam mounted on my windscreen and another on the rear window. I bought them 2 years ago when the camera was first launched and have been happy with them. http://tinyurl.com/y7rfo5jq However – time moves on and VIOFO Have now launched a new camera, the VIOFO...

Re: Phone plugged in using Android Auto - Charging ?

You can add a QI charging case to convert your iPhone SE to wireless charging. I have a similar one for my Samsung Galaxy A3 and it works fine. http://tinyurl.com/yb7wmvd7 You can also buy a thin charging adapter if you already have a non-metallic thin case. This is attached to the back of the phone...

Re: Hi

The only advice I can give is for you to try and arrange a long and varied test drive of a Niro to see whether it would suit your lifestyle. I have migrated from a series of Audis, then Hyundais and now to KIA. For me - the Niro is the best car I have ever owned in terms of suiting our lifestyle. We...

Re: Mobile phones & Smartphones

I have a mifi dongle loaded with a 12 GB 12 month Three mobile SIM which cost about £30. I formerly used my Samsung A3 phone as a hot spot - but kept forgetting to take it with me when I parked the car. The dongle stays in the car and is plugged into the USB socket in the storage cubby under the arm...
