Re: Mode button - LH side of steering wheel.
Pippy. Polo if it's enabled on your Niro (It wasn't on my car but I haven't checked since I had the firmware updated) you can do it via instructions on page 5/23 from the instruction manual which can be downloaded from here: https://carmanuals2.com/get/kia-niro-2017-owner-s-manual-99670 Note however...

Re: Fuel consumption
Yes the aircon appears to work in climate control mode, and the heated seats and steering wheel also work in EV mode.

Re: Fuel consumption
It appears that, counterintuitively, you can use the A/C to heat/warm the car and it will run in EV mode more often than if the A/C is off. The 'driver only' setting does seem to also make a big difference to EV running. So on the regular hybrid at least, it would appear the best economy is achieved...

Re: Audio system losing DAB radio
It's been intermittent but is back again. It seemed to be affected by the change in temperature. I still suspect a loose connection somewhere in the aerial but for now it's all good.

Re: Media unit stays on
Many people may drive to a destination, park up and wait in the vehicle. They may wish to hear some music.
If left on for more than a few minutes, there is a warning about battery discharge that appears on the display.

Re: Fuel consumption
I managed 57.7mpg today on my 8 mile commute in London. Yesterday I got 49mpg. The difference was that today I switched off the heater and let the cabin stay cold.

Re: Niro PHEV on order
I don't see the economic benefits of the PHEV at list price to be honest. Even if you charged and used the maximum range every day, that's 365 x 30 miles - 10950 miles a year on battery power. Given that electric power works out at around 2p a mile and the regular HEV at 60mpg works out at around 9p...

Re: Seat comfort
Seat comfort in the Niro is in my opinion its biggest problem. It's not so bad in the First Edition with the adjustable lumbar support and good range of adjustment, but for the front passenger seat, I have added a lumbar support cushion from Amazon which makes all the difference.

Re: Custom POI
Given that the Sat Nav is likely similar for all Kia models, it might be worth trying out the solution found here: http://www.kiaownersclub.co.uk/forum/ad ... 25478.html

Re: Mode button - LH side of steering wheel.
If you have My Music enabled, it's possible that it won't show up until you've actually copied music to it from your USB drive. Perhaps plugin in your USB drive and copy some files over, then see if it appears.
