Re: Creaking / squeaking noise from the dash board !?
I would be taking mine to the dealer if I had that problem with a new car.

Re: Fuel consumption
The computer uses a map or graph between duty cycle and fuel pressure which tells it how much fuel the injector will spray at any given cycle and pressure. Using this, it continually estimates how much fuel it has sprayed since the mpg calculator was last reset. It then takes this amount and divides...

Re: Battery level meter
I have never seen my battery go above 3/4 or below 1/2 - presumably to extend the life of the battery.
Perhaps KIA should have displayed the gauge to read only between those two points - and we would have all thought it was between full and empty.

Re: Kia service plan
Here are the prices I obtained from my KIA Dealership for my Niro 2. They are the current prices but not guaranteed after the first year due to possible inflation. They are also the prices for an average annual mileage not exceeding 11,000. High mileage cars may be charged more. 1st Service £137.80 ...

Re: SSD Chemical Solution Available For Sale
To put it simply SSD cleaning solution is part of a scam in which the scammers supply the victim with "Black Money" which they claim are legal tender that are stained black in order to get them through customs. When the victim receives the "money" they're then told they need a sp...

Re: Autocar - long-term impressions of the Kia Niro
Darren - you asked about my experience with Hyundai - Kia In 2010 I had an Audi A4 Avant petrol mutitronic which was a lovely car but had poor economy. It was near the end of the warranty, I had concerns about the cost of any gearbox problems and I was minded to buy an Audi A3 2.0 diesel. My wife ha...

Re: Autocar - long-term impressions of the Kia Niro
I have brimmed the tank of my Niro 2 after travelling 584 miles after the initial fill when I bought it. During this period the car has done a couple of relatively long motorway/main road trips – the remaining 260 miles being urban. This is the result http://i.imgur.com/fU2KLcr.jpg I deliberately ra...

Re: Why emissions and mpg differences ?
If you had bought a 3 and then put 16" wheels on, you would still be taxed as a 3. You cannot change the tax band after it is registered. In fact you cannot change the tax band after it is imported because the VIN number allocated to the car in the factory is accompanied by its full specificati...

Re: Autocar - long-term impressions of the Kia Niro
Darren I have had my Niro 2 with ADAP for only 3 weeks - but have been abroad for 12 days so have not yet had much time to try it out. As of today, we have done 427 miles. the distance to empty reads 147 miles and the trip economy shows 59.9 mpg. However - I must have spent at least 2 hours in insta...
