Re: Niro PHEV on order
I don't see the economic benefits of the PHEV at list price to be honest. Even if you charged and used the maximum range every day, that's 365 x 30 miles - 10950 miles a year on battery power. Given that electric power works out at around 2p a mile and the regular HEV at 60mpg works out at around 9...

Re: Seat comfort
I guess as the Niro is a size below the i40 maybe the reason for the narrower seats. Part of the press stuff for the Niro mentions the seats are lightweight, maybe there is a correlation.

Re: Groaning of parking brake
Hi guys. I do not like this alternative to hand brake and avoid using it particularly at-home or in garage, just use the park gear option. I am not sure if the parking brake uses the rear discs or has separate brake pads, but suspect its disc hence the noise. My main complaint with this hideous foo...

Re: Seat comfort
Hi all re seats. Generally no one so far has said seats are hard and for me personally much better than my i30 Hyundia. What makes are you migrating from? h2onorth Both original 2 posters are ex Citroen drivers..... They are renowned for softer seats than the norm so you could be onto something the...

Re: Niro PHEV on order
Personally I can't see PHEV prices aligning with ICE prices as you are effectively paying for 2 powerplants.

Re: Niro PHEV on order
Thanks Jim, I am getting excited now, looking at accessories etc!!
Steve as it is a demo I assume the dealer will have to hold it for at least 3 months so the loss is not quite as bad as that, but still pretty severe.

Re: Split decision
Fred our Zoe GFV is over £6700 & that is after 3 years so unless there is any deal to be had it is going back next June which is a shame as to us it is a far better car than the CAP values. Our Niro is replacing a diesel Kuga so for 7 months or so we will have 2 plugins so we will see how that g...

Re: Split decision
Interesting! To judge by journalistic comments you would think the PHEV was a pig compared with the HEV. Thanks for your comments. Helpful. We want to try a 2018 Nissan Leaf before we decide between continuing with full electric or PHEV. Fred Fred From memory are you also a Zoe owner too? For us, t...

Re: Groaning of parking brake
When we get ours I’ll just have to remember the foot parking brake especially as our drive is quite steep.
