Don't know, but you do get the W rated tyre on the 18" rims and I can confirm that the car will do around 180 km/h max (112 mph).

Re: Choosing Bluetooth Audio Track
Yeah, the functionality I am looking for is in Bluetooth AVRCP profile version 1.6.0, which was already adopted around 3 years ago. From the functionality available in the Niro, it looks like Kia have implemented no more than version 1.3.

Re: Car starter external batteries
The 12V battery (the only battery) is in the boot, there are terminals connected to this battery in the engine compartment. Aha, got it, just terminals up front. Presumably as circled. In the emergency responders document I linked in another thread , it says the following on jump starting: Do not a...

Emergency Responder Information for Kia Niro
Whilst I was browsing the intarweb I came across the following guide for US emergency services confronted with a Kia Niro. Obviously it's aimed at the professionals, but there's some interesting information in there too. http://www.boronextrication.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2010/11/KIA-Niro-Em...

Re: Car starter external batteries
Thanks for that, although I'm surprised to learn that the 12V battery is in the engine compartment (I just checked, and it is), because I also have a 12V battery in the boot, behind a cover next to the wheel arch. Confused I am.

Re: Anybody spotted a PHEV in the UK?
Are there many/any external differences? Presumably there is an additional flap for they charging cable?
I don't think I've seen a regular Niro yet, though the Sportage looks sufficiently similar tip make it difficult to be sure when one whizzes past in the opposite direction.

Car starter external batteries
Hopefully I'll never need it with the Niro, but I bought an external battery car starter something like this and was wondering whether it can still be used with the 2017 Niro hybrid should one be unlucky enough to have a flat battery and can't start the car. Anyone know for sure, my dealer has been ...

Re: Key fob battery
@PhilB
Just out of interest, which Niro model do you have, or more to the point do you have a standard remote fob or the keyless remote fob?
I've only had my Niro for 3 months, so no flat batteries, however I'm now used to the keyless entry and the key never leaves my pocket.

Re: Winter is coming! Snow chains
Just checked my tyres as delivered (car picked up in June 2017):
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 225/45 ZR18 91W
Very definitely summer tyres - no M+S. The W speed rating seems a bit excessive for the Niro, which does not have that high a top speed.

Re: Winter is coming! Snow chains
@knea, yes, I did mean to stick with the 18" for summer and use 16" for winter - as JimT says, it would be more normal to put the winter tyres on steel wheels rather than alloys. Only you can decide whether the use you get from them justifies the cost. I will need to go for winter tyres in...
