Re: Dash cam
I've fitted one myself. Halfords wouldn't touch it as they say they don't mess with Hybrids. It was quite easy. I used a suction cup mount and placed the dash cam to the left of the mirror housing. I got a 5m USB lead and ran it up into the headlining and tucked it down the passenger A pillar, down ...

Re: Niro 2 PHEV?
I have a compact folding electric wheelchair - the Foldawheel PW-999UL and it fits just fine in the boot of the Niro. Further, the virtually flat load floor from the sill makes it easier to load than usual.

Re: New member
Assuming you did 12,000 miles a year and get an average of 55mpg in a First Edition and 65mpg in a Niro 2, then with petrol prices at £1.12 per litre, you could expect to save £171 per year in fuel in the Niro 2. I'd be happy to spend that extra £171 in fuel costs for the extra toys of the First Edi...

Re: Creaks and groans
Those groans happen on my car too sometimes, but I found a solution is to 'clean' the brakes by doing a fairly hard bit of braking from 30 mph on an empty road (making sure there's no one behind you first).

Re: New member
I am sure the mpg can be increased by leaving the manual at home.... You're right there. I had a stack of user manuals in all different languages hiding under the boot floor when I picked up my Niro. My boot is full of electric wheelchair most of the time - even my compact folding one at 21KG will ...

Re: New First Edition
I'd say it's pretty reliable and just when you need it, not premature. I believe there's a setting for how paranoid it is but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Re: New member
The control for the wireless charger is on the menu accessed via the steering wheel when the car is in park. When it's active, it just detects a phone with wireless charge capability placed on it, and ignores it otherwise. There's no button to worry about catching when placing a phone or other objec...

Re: New member
I've not found the white trim pieces to be distracting, and I've made good use of both the heated and cooled seats in the front. I expect to use the heated steering wheel a lot in winter. I also love the wireless charger which works well with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I just have to remember to tur...

Re: New First Edition
I didn't want to risk finding out so I braked myself. So far in normal driving, I've had the forward collision warning bleep at me but I've always done the braking myself.

Re: ANDROID AUTO™ AND APPLE CARPLAY™ FOR LATEST KIA MODELS
Hi Djpfaff The issue isn't so much google music not storing the music on my phone but sometimes not running under Android Auto. I like running it that way as it means I can pick my tracks using voice control rather than only playing predefined playlists or albums and skipping back and forth whilst d...
