Re: New to Kia

I've been wondering what shape of housing it would take to deflect enough airflow to stop or reduce the buildup of dirt and yet not obstruct the camera view. Of course, it may be impossible and a user-made solution would be difficult anyway.

Re: TPMS valves

With different wheels for summer and winter, I'm still some way off replacement tyres, however just to give you an idea of the valves - made by VDO (Siemens), they cost me around €45 each.

Re: Loss of mpg after engine software update

I had put it down to the weather getting colder anda couple of long trips. Will keep an eye on it relative to last year once I return to my usual trips. The dealer did become quite defensive asi was reading what he was asking me to sign at the recall appointment, although I didn't see anything untow...

Re: Steering wheel squeaking when heated

Erm, no, and I've used it plenty this week. I am, however, intrigued as to what would cause it squeak! Are you sure you don't have mice behind the dashboard?

Re: Foot Parking Brake

The only time I have used the parking brake is when I got my winter wheels put on recently and the guy pointed out that he didn't want the car rolling away while he was working on it! If his ramp lift weren't broken I wouldn't have needed it at all.

Re: New to kia

You have to be a Which? subscriber to look at the results online, but i took a look at their site and they seem very keen on explaining how they do their "more realistic" motorway test. In my opinion when people buy a hybrid, it tends to be quite targeted to a specific use case, and I'm no...

Re: Phone plugged in using Android Auto - Charging ?

Same way as you would check if it is charging normally - generally the battery symbol will gain a lightning symbol. Of course, if you use a data-only cable nothing will charge.

Re: Android Auto and wireless charging

Where did you hear that Android Auto works wirelessly? I have the S8 and I'm not aware that it can be used in that way, though maybe the limitation is on the head unit end. Actually I never planned on using AA anyway, but that was before I realised the navigation of Bluetooth media is near impossibl...

jerrytaff wrote: Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:24 pm Apparently there are some stations using DAB+ in the UK, but I have no idea if the radio in the Niro is compatible.
I can receive all the DAB+ stations local to me, so the answer would appear to be yes.
