Re: PHEV Charging

My experience in 6 months of PHEV ownership: I use the 10A cable every couple of days to charge the car, sometimes overnight. I do use a short (about 2m) 13A rated extension cable into a socket in my garage, with the 'KIA' cable running outside. Though I was concerned to begin with, I checked the 13...

PHEV recall items - outcomes

Following the recent service and recall updates to my PHEV, an issue has arisen. I now have an irritating knocking rattle from the rear underside when driving on slightly uneven surfaces - this after the rear lower suspension arms were replaced per the recall. KIA garage are going to have a look at ...

Re: Annual Service, 4 recall actions

Well, car had first service today (ca. 6000 miles) and was also checked for two bulletin items: hydraulic clutch (no issue found) and rear suspension lower arms (replaced - though I suspect this was just bushes). The garage also arranged for wheel alignment check after the suspension work to avoid p...

Re: Annual Service, 4 recall actions

Very interesting. Does anyone have similar info for any Niro PHEV recall items? My first service is booked in two weeks and the dealer did not indicate any updates/recalls when I asked.
Thanks, Andy.

Re: AEB , LKAS Warning Light

This happened to me too a couple of months ago - not recurred since and cleared after key-off. I recall it was after I'd parked really close to a wall in front - probably just coincidence.

Re: Coasting guide

Discovered the coasting guide was already active when using sat nav recently. However it only appeared twice in a 120 mile journey! Active when the Nav detected a roundabout ahead where I needed to slow down. Not sure it will bring much benefit but an interesting feature.

Re: Niro PHEV compared to Hyundai Ioniq plug-in?

I was originally sceptical too. I have the PHEV and though smaller than others, the boot is well shaped, accommodating holiday luggage for two under the cover. The plug-in lacks the underfloor storage of the regular Niro however so fewer places for odds n ends.

Map screen puzzle

Appreciate any forum wisdom on the following observation... I've been using various screens on the AVM, then press 'Radio' button to select a station - the screen changes to a radio screen and music plays..... ....then, after about 10 seconds the screen changes to full screen map (sound continues) -...
