Re: Autohold dashboard fault
Extract from the manual : • If the AUTO HOLD indicator lights up yellow, the Auto Hold is not working properly. Take your vehicle to an authorized Kia deal- er and have the system checked. Not very helpful you might think, but I imagine any attempt to fix the braking system electronics would be beyo...

Re: Range display acting strangely
<t>You seem to have started with around 10 liters in your tank, less than quarter full, then you've added 6.5 litres (a round £tenner?), taking it just over a quarter full? I suspect you've confused the system. Fill it to the brim next time and let it sort itself out. If it doesn't, then it's a deal...

Re: Engine camshaft drive
There is no reference to a timing belt/replacement in the manual.
See the webpage below which refers to a timing chain.

Re: Scheduled software updates
This process appears to be fraught with confusing instructions. Not sure whether my 21 HEV was MY20 or 22, I searched on model number and software number taken from the current versions in the car - neither could be found. I "chatted" with a Kia advisor who was very friendly but couldn't e...

Re: Oil warning light
Presumably TMS are the dealer who originally found nothing wrong, it shouldn't be acceptable that you have had to take the car back at your inconvenience. They "owe you one".

I can only speak for the HEV, my car heats the interior using the engine.

Re: E10 versus E5 Petrol
It's widely reported in the motoring press, search E10 v E5 on Google. The government says the difference in mpg is around 1%, so we can take that with a pinch of salt. Ethanol is not as efficient as petrol, so a reduction in mpg is not surprising. I can't quantify it like you have, but don't doubt ...

Re: HV 4 disappointing MPG
My overall consumption and driving style is in line with Meadowknight's. Raefil's is probably right for three summer months. Your 51mpg might be a bit low, particula4ly over summer months, you don't mention a driving style. My recent mpg in colder weather is around 45mpg.

Re: New owner, new member
My HEV also has the variable regeneration paddles, and I find it's only possible to emulate smooth one-pedal driving on level 1. Levels 2 and 3 are too strong and sudden in operation, maybe the EV is set up differently? The brake lights only come on at level 3, so I don't think it's safe to use the ...
