Re: Temporary Spare wheel and tyre

Hi. Skinny spare wheels are about for Niro, some discussion about sizes as to rolling circumference compared to original fits. Skinny from around £130 1 believe including accessories (not Kia, as yet unavailable ), full size is available from dealer but a lot more and of course tyre is extra. ( Is t...

Re: New Member

Hi all welcome to the forum. Glad you are all pleased with your choices. Yes the car does give a good performance in most areas. Boot is perhaps marginal in size for a car in this sector but otherwise not much to grumble about. Fuel economy is amazing provided you aren't heavy with the throttle othe...

Re: Broken door handles

Hi Bicepeak1 . Oh ok, sorry up to speed now. !ets hope UK ones do not catch the same problem. I wonder if is a batch of below standard castings? Unless it's to do with getting extra hot in the sun,no problem with that over here! Had a look at mine yesterday and they are plastic , just as described. ...

Re: Broken door handles

Whoa!* Inside rear door handles braking off , quite alarming, that's a new one for cars. Will take a look at mine although usually it's children in the back who don't have too much strength. Adults in strange cars can sometimes do unexpected actions in my experience and may (careful here) be both ma...

Re: Niro 2 PHEV?

Hi all. Just following up the conversation about cost of phev versus EV. Niro phev is a while yet and I wonder whether the cost of an Extended type option !Ike BMWI3 might be a cheaper option than Phev for longer distances rather than huge battery. We will no doubt find out in fullness of time h2ono...

Re: Insurance

Hi johnrussell. Always found LV (Liverpool Victoria) good, although not cheapest but for our Niro 1st year went with Kia insurance quote! Although the their excesss was£ 350, they were offering £250 voucher to use if the excess was triggered! . No sure about European cover though. As we have all rea...

Re: Broken door handles

Hi Bicepeak1 . Intriguing question, what is occurring with door handles. The inside cable can stretch and slip off so outside handle no longer operates. It's usually the drivers of course, people jerk and snatch at it instead of pulling carefully!. If not that what?

Re: Sat-nav oddities

Hi all. Are we saying car sat nav is ok providing settings are set up correctly, if so what settings do you have to avoid silly detours? Have you all decided to use Android auto or apple auto instead. What do you think about Waze. Have not used it for navigating only left live on familiar journeys f...

Re: Key fob battery

Hi all. Interesting subject here. PhilB, if it happens again try your spare key fob to see if this also has a problem which would indicate it might be 12v battery as mentioned by Greenman. Not send this topic elsewhere so your key fob might be a one off? h2onorth
