Re: Brake Pads Wear

Hi Greenman. Just seen your post and am very surprised. Assume your regeneration is working ok?. Everyone has said , is expecting less brake wear not more but of course the first services are only coming through now. Have you actually measured the pads yourself. I would be tempted to take a wheel of...

Re: Real world fuel economy

Hi read your mpg reports with interest. Had my 2 since Feb and have done 3600 since new . Live up north these days and use the train if going long distances so my only longer journey was lake District in march before car run in. I will be using the car next week to drive down to London as am visitin...

Re: Alloy Wheels

Hi all. The discussion about wheel design for Niro has been raised on other Niro media sites too. Apparently the flush outside , plastic additions, reduce drag and appears on other eco type vehicles too. I also hoped the plastic additions would reduce or prevent accidental damage to alloy wheels on ...

Re: How is the car on steep grades?

Hi Bicepeak1. No one has so far (on social media) said the Niro was poor in winter and although in North East UK where I live we do get bad weather , have only had Niro since Feb this year. I had winter tyres for last car but have not considered it for Niro as I am likely to hand car back within 3 y...

Re: How is the car on steep grades?

Hi Bicepeak1. Is your RAV4 4wheel drive?, If so much safer than Niro in wet or icy conditions . To be honest as much as I like my Niro 2 model in your position i would wait and view the raft of electric cars coming out in 2018/ 19

Re: Hybrid Battery Charge Level

Hi all. Greenman mentioned getting to 100 % charge and a hot smel!. Do not know conditions which caused this 100% but assume it must involve a long spell downhill. I have never even got to 75% or less than 1block below 50% so no experience. I would have expected Greenmans circumstances to have been ...

Re: Fuel consumption

Trip /mpg systems (5yrs or more ago) used show distance to go when filled up as current average mpg X fuel left plus fuel put in. This was to my mind very clear since if your average mpg increased or decreased after filling up the distance to go changed accordingly. All very clear!. Current systems ...

Re: Boot undertray

Hi djbobbins . Like u I looked at the space options below boot floor. I have bought and fitted space saver there by removing the pump and puncture kit polystyrene package. I kept the top storage unit as it still fits. (Not for a full size spare of course) I store my jack and tools in the existing po...

Re: Creaking / squeaking noise from the dash board !?

Hi Steve, the creaks should not be there and no mention of noises like this on other niro sites. The stone chip is a bummer but as we all know our roads are full of rubbish and junk. Quite a few vehicles live on unmade up roads/ drives where tyres particularly good depth tyres collect `rocks` which ...
