Re: Split decision

We test drove (& bought) a PHEV yesterday & personally I can’t see where those reviews were coming from. The pick up is far better than the standard one as it has a much more powerful electric motor. I felt the ride was also no worse, but I gave only driven a standard one on 18” rims. It cru...

Niro PHEV on order

My status has changed from a looker to a physical order. We should have our Graphite PHEV by the end of the month so the wait is on!

Re: Waiting game

In response to NiNiro I called at the local Kia dealer SG Petch in York on Monday this week. After talking to the salesman I agreed a deal to trade in my Sportage for a Niro 4 after being told that they had 4 in stock. Car ordered Monday and took delivery Friday this week. Excellent service from th...

Re: New member

For the 16” rims I would recommend Michelin Cross Climates. I have changed my Renault Zoe to them from the standard Michelin EV energy tyres. They are quieter, much better grip in wet & no appreciable change in the range. If I get a Niro I am going to fit them & keep the OEM tyres to fit bac...

Re: Winter is coming! Snow chains

So unsurprisingly things are quite bureaucratic over here, but in the end I went for the following, as steels seemed scarce on the ground: RC Design RC27 6.5Jx17H2 offset 40 alloys Dunlop Winter Sport 5 205/50 R17 93H XL M+S VDO pressure sensors (same as the OEM ones supplied with the car) The tyre...

Re: Boot mat size MY18

From looking at one in the showroom, the gap where the battery was is a drop in the floor so the actual size of a mat I think would be the same as a my17 one.

Re: ANDROID AUTO™ AND APPLE CARPLAY™ FOR LATEST KIA MODELS

I was happy with it on a test drive (not an owner currently), but then I have all my music through Apple Music so I am very tied into the Apple stuff. Personally I didn’t use the Apple Maps as I was happy with Kia Nav & using the phone as a hotspot to get the live traffic. Apple CarPlay has Spot...

Re: MY18 build date

The photos on Autotrader of PHEV Niros which I assume would be my2018 cars have no 12v refresh button & still have the battery box on the drivers side of the boot. Unfortunately regardless of what it says in the brochure the headlights do not look to be LED either.
