Re: Do you want to tow with the Kia Niro?

Okay, so now I am really confused. My 2017 Niro 2, UK specification, was delivered last week. I was having a read through the manual earlier this evening and it clearly states that for the European specification, you can tow with your vehicle and sets a limit of 600kg unbraked or 1000kg braked. Suff...

Re: Waiting game

Delivery now scheduled for Thursday 29th June; I spent a (rather scorching) couple of hours hovering out the inside of the current car last weekend so it's ready for return to the lease company. I think my car will be exactly the same as yours Emperor - Niro 2 in Ocean Blue Metallic with the ADAP op...

Re: Waiting game

Car is now in stock at the dealers! Better get the current car cleaned ready for handing back. Expect to take delivery in about 10 days' time.

Re: No jack and wheel wrench - is this normal ?

Not sure if this is really normal, but it is increasingly common - not just with Kia.

There are aftermarket space saver wheels available; IIRC the one I saw came with a jack and brace.

Re: Sightings

It's happened again - another Sunday, another Niro spotted. This time in dark blue, which I assume is the Ocean Blue Metallic?

Sightings

So, having ordered my Niro in February, I'd not seen another on the road until today. Within the last hour I have spotted two - is there a surge in sales or do Niros come out more on Sundays?!

Re: Adaptive cruise control

I certainly hope the brake lights do come on, otherwise I won't be using my adaptive cruise control. I've got no desire to get crushed by something barreling into my car at 70mph!

Re: Waiting game

That probably means that my Niro 2 will be on the same 27May, now 17 June boat as yours, Bobbings. Considering I ordered mine in Dec'16, with a promised pre e/o March delivery, this has all become rather tiresome and disappointing. To date the delay has meant that I missed out on the zero VED, will...

Re: Waiting game

Grrr, just found out that my delivery date has moved back from 27th May to 17th June - three weeks slip, just over a fortnight away from expected delivery. It should have been obvious about four weeks ago that the delivery date of 27th May wasn't feasible, as the car would have needed to be on the s...

Re: Autocar - long-term impressions of the Kia Niro

That's interesting about the fuel economy. Several of my work colleagues have recently changed their lease vehicles from diesels to hybrids and one in particular (who does mainly motorway driving) is not impressed at moving from about 60mpg in his BMW 320 to significantly less in his Mercedes C-clas...
