Re: New Kia Niro owner
Hi Alan Just bought a Nextbase dashcam myself for my Niro 4 and was thinking of doing the installation myself, though Nextbase tell me they have an arrangement with Halfords who will fit the dashcam for £30 which includes the fitting kit. From your experience I'm not sure now whether Halfords will b...

Re: Best and Worst Thing About Your Niro
Not being able to change the digital speed indicator from MPH to Kms. This can be done on other Kia models but not on the Niro for some reason. As I take my Niro abroad have this option would be useful rather than trying to work out the speed on the analogue circular speedo. A simple software upgade...

Re: Speed camera alerts
Connect by turning on mobile hotspot/tethering on your mobile and this should then give you the speed camera alerts. Check you sat nav by going into settings, navigation, and you should see speed alerts active.

Re: High beam assist
No the Niro 4 dosn't have High Beam Assist, something that I would find helpful having driven a Citroen with it before purchasing my Niro. My other gripe with the car is that the software should be updated so that the digital speedo can display kph and not just mph. Very useful if you take the car a...

Re: Clear White vs. White Pearl. What's the difference ?
White Pearl is £565 extra, not sure about Clear White, is that included in the standard price or is the paint extra. Tried 'build your own car' on the Kia UK website and on the Niro 4 Clear White is not showing as an option just the pearlescent white. My previous experience however with white pearl ...

Re: New to Kia
The ideal answer would be like on the VW Golf where the camera is behind the badge and this flips up when the car goes into reverse returning to the closed position when in forward motion. KIA badge on tailgate ideally located to do the same unless VW have patented the technology.

Re: Steering wheel squeaking when heated
Not noticed it and have used my heated steering wheel quite a bit earlier this year and in the past two weeks in the mornings. Suggest you have the dealer check it out under warrenty.

Re: Best and Worst Thing About Your Niro
Yes the PHEV comes with a tyre repair kit which is fine for a simple puncture. I've not heard of a loan tyre service but there is 12 months RAC cover included with the car. KIA Assist in conjunction with the RAC has the loan tyre option. If the tyre is beyond a tyre repair using the foam kit the RA...

Re: Android Auto and wireless charging
It's the next generation of head units, only a very few currently on the market, which allow Android Auto and Apple Carplay to connect wirelessly. Unfortunately no Kia head unit currently has this facility so you are still stuck with a wired connection if you wish to use Andriod auto irrespective of...

our 'Graphite' Niro, love the car, 12 months trouble free motoring and excellent mpg at motorway speeds.
