Re: Emergency braking feature

I can confirm that the emergency braking does work as I had an issue with a car pulling out from a side road, the driver obviously not seeing me and the car within a split second applied the brake to avoid what could have been a collision. So from my point highly pleased that the detection system wo...

Re: Niro CarPlay

Had no issues on my 6 month of Niro using Apple Car Play, as soon as my iPhone is plug in via a cable a message displays on the screen 'bluetooth disconnected'. If you are not receiving this message on screen it does sound like something is wrong with the connection. Do you know if you have the late...

Re: Paint quality - ocean blue metallic

Have a six month old Niro 4 in Graphite which has done some 4000 miles and have noticed a number of small pit marks on the front bumper especially around the corner edges where the base undercoat is showing through. As previosly noted these will not polish out and look like they have been caused by ...

Re: Speed warning on sat nav

All that is needed to activate speed camera warnings is to activate Personal Hotspot in the phone settings. Your phone will then connect to the SatNav unit and give your warnings when approaching speed cameras. This will however use data on your phone so unless you have a good monthly data allowance...

Re: From Prius to Niro

Now got 3500 miles on the clock with my November 2017 Niro 4 and can not say I can hear the raspy engne note at revs as mentioned by PDub even when flcking the lever into sport mode. Having come from a diesel Sportage the car is so quiet in comparison and very smooth through the gear box both up and...

Re: Coasting guide

Same here in my Niro 4. All seems to be set in the driver menu and satnav set up with a route, yet nothing. As with others members on the forum are we all doing something fundamentally wrong.

Re: Niro and snow

Drove my Niro 4 in three inches of snow recently and didn't notive any difference from my other previously owned manual box cars. Like any sensible driver it is about taking it easy on the accelerator pedal and brake pedal to minimise the effect of the snow. On word of caution when it snows heavly t...

Re: Satnav updates

Only thing you don’t get on the satnav with the smartphone disconnected is the speed camera alert. So if you drive within the speed limits and are not too concerned as to the location of the cameras then the unit works perfectly well. With a wired smart phone connected you can also take advantage of...

Re: Automatic lights

Seems to be a common issue, my lights do the same and from comments on another forum owners are having the same problems. Appears as though the sensor is super sensitive, I suppose it is better the lights come on early rather than not at all.
