Re: Winter is coming! Snow chains

Hi knea, Would maintaining 2 sets of wheels - current tyres on the 18" alloys and winter tyres on steel wheels be an option? If you can find 16" steel rims that fit the niro would be better than keeping the alloys on and having to pay for the tyres to be changed over each year. Also they u...

Re: Sat-nav oddities

I don't know if this will help as this doesn't refer to the built in niro system but Tom-tom can be a bit temperamental on it's settings. I have a Start-60 model and can set "fastest route" or "eco route". Ticking Eco will take me down some very interesting single track country l...

Re: Brake Pads Wear

I wonder if the mechanic misread the mileage and 16,400 would represent about 40% wear?

Re: Brake Pads Wear

That's some seriously heavy braking wear. If standard service intervals are 10k miles then I would expect pads to last at least that distance. I average 13k miles/year and never had to replace pads between services. With other manufacturers the service interval is 20k - replacing pads 5 times in tha...

Re: Hi Kia Owner for 6 years and due to collect Niro next week

Hi Ian and welcome. Lucky you - we've got to wait until beginning of November to get our niro (Motability). It certainly seems a great car.

Re: Fuel consumption

Don't open the windows for ventilation - it worsens the aerodynamic efficiency of the car with consequently increased fuel consumption.

Re: dimensions

Hi Terry, Honest John website gives the following measurements for the boot: Length: 780mm - 1600mm (seats up - seats folded) I must assume this is floor length, not at window height. It would also vary with position of front seats - whether fully forward or fully back and seat back rests being recl...

I wonder if the relocation is only for the U.S. market?

Temptation red - any real life pics?

Hi,

Just ordered a niro 2 in red. Love the colour on Kia,s web site but looks totally different on YouTube reviews. Anyone got any true colour pics or comments, please.
