Re: Flat battery for the sixth time

Hi niroal. I think this might be either a 3or 4 version only or it only works on accessory outlets unless you know different

Re: Foot Parking Brake

Hi all. My reason for disliking this rachet system is not it's position but (1) it's noisy on application (in a quiet car), unlike a handbrake you can hold the release mechanism for quietness and NO WEAR, on the teeth!!! (2) it's ineffective on a slope unless you grind it into the floor, but ,but the...

Re: Fuel consumption

Hi all.
Very interesting that the hybrid can lose up to 10mpg now with heaters etc on. I was wondering how much it effects the car, now we know.i gather the EV and the phev have some sort of electric heater to avoid engine use. it's a shame the hybrid has not got the same technology.!

Re: Media info screen

Hi knuttucks. Are u talking about the safety while driving message which briefly appears after startup? Yes this does disappear automatically if ignored. Not sure if this always came on from new but certainly after phone was paired

Re: Groaning of parking brake

Hi guys. I do not like this alternative to hand brake and avoid using it particularly at-home or in garage, just use the park gear option. I am not sure if the parking brake uses the rear discs or has separate brake pads, but suspect its disc hence the noise. My main complaint with this hideous foot...

Re: Niro PHEV on order

Hi guys. Yes the pricing of phev is interesting, at its new price it's hard to justify but around 21 k its more of a possible.
Over the next 2 years phev and ev cars are expected to align themselves price wise with IC cars so watch this space.

Re: Fuel/ tyre pressures.

Hi all. In UK temperatures now dropping and a co!d start so the Tpms initially shows 34 or 35. If you go fast enough or corner a lot may go up to 36 psi. My question is should the tyres start at 37 psi ,I feel probably should. At what point does the Tpms show low pressure on a tyre or tyres, 30psi o...

Re: Car starter external batteries

Hi Philb and others. Presumably no side effects from the jump start under the bonnet? I ask this because the original information about how the engine started was via the hybrid system and the 12volt battery only ran the ancillary systems. Once the ancillary systems were on the hybrid battery got in...
