Is a smartphone an absolute essential to make use of connected services.
Can a standard mobile phone that can connect to the internet and download android auto work just as well ?
Could obviously not make use of wireless charging.

Re: Anyone with a dog ?
Have just discovered that the car can be locked with the sunroof open/tilted up.
Just need to find out if the dogs can be left inside without them setting off the alarm.

Anyone with a dog ?
Are there any dog owners here?
All previous cars have allowed me to leave my dogs in the car, with a window
or sunroof open, by disabling the alarm before locking it.
Does anyone know if there is someway of doing this with the Niro?
Could be a problem if it's not possible !

Lane Keep Assist
Tried out Lane Keep Assist but found it was trying to pull me too far to the left.
Just occurred to me that my dash cam is fitted on the windscreen just to the left of the mirror.
Wonder if the dash cam could be interfering with the radar beam?
Any ideas anyone?

Re: Don't have and don't want a smartphone !
Don't want a smartphone , I'm in my mid 70's and can just about cope with a mobile.
All the safety features make the car worthwhile, what more can I say.

Don't have and don't want a smartphone !
Re one week old Niro 4.
Not having a smartphone and definitely not wanting one, I don't know if there are there any settings I may benefit from changing.
Grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks,
Hopp

Picked up our Niro 4 last Wednesday.
Traded in my wife's Picanto and my Soul, decided we only need one car now - both old and crotchety.
Haven't been far in it yet but very pleased so far.
Reached over 61.5 mpg just bringing it home.
