Re: Air conditioning dead
The a/c is electric, have you checked the fuse(s)? I believe you have a 2017 model, see section 8 in the manual. One of the fuses also operates the door mirror motors, another quick check. Good luck.

Re: Six Chimes
Apparently not happening all the time (quote "on occasions"). Are you turning any of the safety systems on and off? Not fastening seat belts causes chimes but it usually keeps going until fastened, not specifically 6. If none of the red lights are lit on the dash it can possibly wait for n...

Re: New Niro Driver
The car should initially beep and then try to not cross the line, but it is very easy for the driver to override. I wouldn't describe it as aggressive at all. If you couldn't prevent it moving back then there is a serious fault with your car. On my 2017 car there is an on-off switch to the right of ...

Re: Brake Lights
The brake lights come in in two circumstances: 1. When you press the brake pedal (also actuates regen braking) 2. When the brakes are applied by the adaptive cruise control. So, although regenerative "braking" happens when you take your foot off the gas, it is not sufficient to cause the b...

Re: OEM LED Headlight conversion (not to be confused with any kind of kits)
My First Edition has OEM bi-xenon headlights which are presumably an upgrade on the halogen. These are more than adequate for my (leisurely) driving at night. Is this option available to you, and presumably they would be fitted correctly aligned for UK left-hand driving. Good luck otherwise!

Re: Is KIA monitoring these vehicles?
Did you have a conversation with this "dealer"? (were you actually talking to a person). If not, I suspect the car's computer is using your phone (god knows how! Bluetooth? WiFi?) to transmit a pre-recorded message. Neither has happened to me in the UK.

My car has the 18" low profile tyres but it doesn't make a harsh sound.

Re: Eco v Sport mode
Also, in Sports mode the petrol engine is running most, if not all, of the time so that full power is immediately available. Again, lower mpg.

Re: What the hell is 'ambient lighting' on a Niro 4 HEV ?
Ambient lighting usually refers to subtle led lights in the footwells, internal door handles, around the roof control panels etc. I had this on my Ford Focus Titanium X, but haven't seen it on the Niro.

Re: Niro PHEV: 15000 mile view
Very interesting, and I concur with all your findings, apart from the speed limiter that I use all the time in urban driving. It would be interesting to know how your electricity bill has changed over the 19 months.
