Re: Smart cruise control cancelled at low speed

Researched this a bit more. Apparently our Kias have the cheaper single-radar system that only works above 20mph. Dual-radar systems, obviously more expensive, use the second radar below 20mph. It works by assessing the time taken for the radar signal to bounce back, and if this time is too short fo...

Indeed it does! So the cruise control will limit the speed, but the speed limiter won't....hmmm, wonder if there is a Korean word for logic.

Re: elec drive question

Question to all you PHEV owners. When you are driving in EV mode, does the car still change gears, and if so, why? An electric motor can spin as fast as it wants, Tesla's only have one gear.

Re: Unlocking driver's door only?

Patience, Philippe, we've all got better things to do on a Sunday evening......No, you can't have driver door only unlocking. Suggest you add a signature identifying your particular car and its trim level.

Re: Trip settings

Haven't a clue what you're on about - have you found the trip computer? Page 4/58 in the handbook. It has six screens:
1. Energy flow
2. Trip A
3. Trip B
4. Digital speedometer
5. Driving style
6. Fuel economy

Re: Is Kia customer service always rubbish ?

My Niro had its first service today at Chapelhouse, St Helens. Generally satisfactory, have to assume everything was done, but it all looks so new still under the bonnet. Given an advisory on the pollen filter, which is a change from previous Ford dealers who have just wanted to change it. When I ph...

Re: Trip settings

Confusing question, there is a screen for trip A, and another screen for trip B - have you tried it?

Re: Trip settings

It's one of the options on the screen behind the steering wheel, the trip computer. Use the buttons on the steering wheel right spoke to scroll through them. It's among the digital speedometer, fuel consumption meter etc.
