Re: Winter is coming! Snow chains

Haven't tried those chains (or any other on the Niro!), but yes, the tyres on the 18" wheels are slightly wider and by my calculations also slightly larger in diameter than those on the 16". Will you be driving in the mountains where snow chains will be needed/required, or are winter tyres...

Re: Do you want to tow with the Kia Niro?

Yes, I have the towing option too, however my dealer told me it is a factory option and cannot be fitted as a dealer or aftermarket option, presumably due to uprated brakes and cooling rather than anything else. I only really wanted it for the future probability of using a cycle carrier anyway. But ...

Choosing Bluetooth Audio Track

Does anyone know how to choose what bluetooth audio track you can listen to? Mine seems to default to the last podcast listened to on the phone and I can only select next or previous track. Obviously what I'd like to be able to do would be to see all the albums on my phone (or at least the folder st...

Re: Waiting game

I finally picked up mine yesterday afternoon. The blue is very nice. I'm still getting used to the keyless operation and stop/start button though!

My dealer did not entertain any thought of any form of compensation for the six month wait when four was originally quoted.

Re: Keeping a smart key safe

I can't believe the keys are transmitting all the time. The button battery would not last very long at all. More likely there is an RFID tag in the key fob that the car detects when you are close. That sounds quite likely, yes. There's a certain amount of detail on Wikipedia . At a guess from that,...

Keeping a smart key safe

Does anyone have the First Edition with a smart key? If so, do you do anything to keep your key (and car) safe? There's been a fair few reports of thieves using relay devices to amplify the signal from the key sitting in your house at night to the car itself, so that a thief can just get in. Does th...

Re: Niro colour

I'm not sure if all colours are offered in all markets, but there are two blues: Ocean Blue = light blue/green metallic Gravity Blue " dark blue metallic I have only seen the gravity blue on a colour card in the back corner of the dealership and it was too dark for me, almost black. Probably th...

If only....still waiting. Most annoying thing is that you'd hope that your delivery date doesn't move once you've ordered. Don't really see anything about delays in the press though.
