Hmm! That's not good. They should speak to Kia at Weston-s-mare, they cured my noise. I hope you have a loan car whilst this is going on! It perhaps begs the question that either the Niro rear suspension is 'delicate' or that the Kia repair recall work method induces the noise problem.
Has anyone else encountered this on here or another forum?

:-) Hooray had it back yesterday with noise gone. They dismantled again and rebuilt rear suspension and it is perfect!
Yes had a car (diesel manual) and was I glad to get mine back!

Hi JOL54.
So it's not a shock absorber on your car rattling?

No, they did not find anything obvious - just rebuilt it again!

Mind you seems to pull to the left slightly now - going in for service early Jan so will mention it then.

Thanks for posting folks. It appears I have the same "knocking" sound. It looks like I need to give the dealer a call then... :-(

I've finally sorted the "knocking" sound from the rear of my Niro PHEV. I phoned my local Kia dealer yesterday and they suggested I contact Kia Roadside Assistance first as it's less than a year old. I did and within half an hour the RAC had turned up outside my house. Half an hour after that the problem was fixed.

Simple - a slightly loose nut around the suspension was allowing vertical movement. He put it up on a jack on my driveway, tightened it up and now it's all good.

I've put a short video up on YouTube that explains it. This seems to be a simple fix that can be sorted in minutes and doesn't even need a trip to the dealer if you know what you are doing (and I don't...).
