BULB UPGRADE A SAFE THING TO DO?

Apologies if covering old ground, but reading through posts about bulb upgrades I couldn't find any opinions from guys who know better than me if this is a harmless thing to do - and won't invalidate the guarantee?
I'm thinking of upgrading the poor yellow headlight bulbs my Niro came with to Osram Cool Blue intense 60w bulbs.
They're HB3, the handbook says the standard bulbs are HB3 HL+.
Does that make a difference?
Appreciate any advice!

When you ask it is a safe thing to do, are you possibly considering oncoming drivers who may find the replacement bulbs too bright. Suggest you check out the legality with Kia and your insurance company. If they can be fitted legally, the beam alignment might have to be adjusted.

Hi AlanW55,
I'm confident the Niro headlights are capable of being adjusted so nobody's dazzled - thinking more about whether or not they'll damage the system/electrics/whatever.

Standard HB3 bulbs are also 60w so I cannot see any difference in regards to the car's electrics / systems. I have been running Osram Nightbreakers HB3 in my Niro for over a year with no issues.
The Cool Blue & Nightbreakers also are ECE approved so there should be no insurance issues, I chose the Nightbreakers as Osram claim higher brightness than the Cool Blues, even if they don't look quite as Xenon like.
