Kia Niro UK Forums

Hi All.
My first post here.
I actually live in France but I am am English hence me joining the UK Forum.

I bought a Niro Hybrid in December. It is a demo car fist registered in September 2019 and I have to say i am mega impressed with it.

Where I live in SW France the street lighting outside the towns is almost non existant so I would like to 'upgrade' the headlights to LED's as I did with my last car ( A Ford Grand C-MAX )

Having looked at the options available on Amazon I would really like to know;
a) if it IS possible to do and
b) exactly what to buy, bearing in mind that not all bulbs work with the Hybrid CAN-BUS electrical system.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have seen several posts on this subject (Honest John?) and the basic advice is DON'T.
Best go (so they say) for high end halogens as upgrading to LED's is said to cost several hundreds of pounds/euros and requires alterations to the car's control systems. Advise also included NOT to use e.bay.
It would almost certainly involve an notifiable alteration to DVSA (or French equivalent). Bottom line (if you still wish to proceed) - speak with Kia dealership
