Few days ago the car would not charge - no warnings on dashboard and charger display normal, but the charger went to 'standby' after about 15 seconds. I could hear a clicking sound around the charge door/socket area. Tried repeatedly to charge but failed each time.
Searched on here and found reports of many charging issues, but someone mentioned the emergency charge flap release cable under the bonnet.
Operated this a few times and jiggled it about. Tried to charge again and this time success! Time will tell if it's a fix or fluke.
Thanks to everyone for sharing tips - I saved a trip to the dealer.
