Hello,

I've decided to join this forum to talk things Niro. I'm a Yank. It doesn't come to the States until January 2017. But that's soon enough. I'll be following this forum to see how people like it. I'm curious what tires the UK models will get, or how it handles its first snowfall, and if the regenerative brakes and transition between motors is as smooth as the reviews suggest. I currently own what you call the Hyundai i30 estate, which I love. But the Niro is promising more than double the fuel economy, an aluminum block motor, electronic throttle, and a dual clutch transmission. Basically a 20 year jump in technologies over the first generation i30 (thankfully the same suspension setup, which is world class).

Welcome along, we're all eagerly awaiting information from Kia too but it does sound like we might find out before you guys in the US do.

Stick around and as we get updates I'll post everything I can find out here.
