Just bought s/h 2017 Niro 3 in Graphite Grey - 6000 miles on the clock. First experience of a hybrid - traded in much loved but costly (and not very environmentally friendly) Landrover Freelander 2 after six years ownership. Limited experience with the Niro so far but first impressions really good and very much enjoying driving it and getting to grips with the tech (Freelander was solid as a rock, powerful and go anywhere but pretty basic spec - rarely took it off road, so what was the real point? Always wanted a Landie, so that's out of the system now!). Handbook is daunting! Lane keep assist feature a wee bit odd at first but actually feels like it might be useful. Cruise control is a great feature as well. Economy good so far (60mpg on 120 mile run, compared with 40mpg life average for Freelander2). Haven't tried sports mode yet and not sure why/when this might be useful. Feel a bit like nervous new puppy owners (some say front of Niro has puppy dog appearance?). In process of buying boot liner and waterproof seat covers to keep things clean for the (inevitable) transport of "stuff" and winter (and summer) outdoor experiences! Looking forward to exploring the road ahead in what has to be a herald for the future of motoring.
