Hi all

My first entry into the Kia Niro world , my Niro 2 Hybrid arrived just before Christmas , so around 7 weeks old now, 3600 mile on the clock now , over 880 mile last week ave 58mpg. I came from a long line of a French manufacturer cars but sadly they only now offer full electric with an addition of a PHEV coming to late for me.

As you can see i can average between 2000 to 3000 miles a month, Everything just "does as it says on the tin" extra safety features are excellent, the adaptive cruse is the best feature for me due to all the Motorway miles. the Auto steering / line following on the motorway is amazing? the million dollar question is How does it now when you take your hand off the steering wheel?

Only one feature that i would like turning of permanently is the lane departure warning / control , i swerved to miss a large puddle i tried to cross a white line to miss the puddle but the Niro decided to pull me back into the deep puddle . Going to ask at it first service in a few months if it can be turned off for good . far to aggressive

The car should initially beep and then try to not cross the line, but it is very easy for the driver to override. I wouldn't describe it as aggressive at all. If you couldn't prevent it moving back then there is a serious fault with your car. On my 2017 car there is an on-off switch to the right of the steering column.

Is the "Auto steering / line following " and " lane departure warning / control" not the same thing , on one hand you state that it is good and on the other you want it switched of permanently.
I thought it was the same on the HEV and PHEV
