First EV

Post by Stecon29 » Sat Dec 12, 2020 12:25 pm

Hi Guys

My first EV the e-Nro 4+ has just been ordered to replace my current ICE company car delivery due beginning of March when current lease runs out, really looking forward to a new way of travelling

I have test drive a 4 and was very impressed, I will be reading plenty of posts to get as much info as possible about running an EV

Thanks

Steve

I already have a Niro (2017 “self-charging” hybrid) as a company car, the lease for which is coming to an end next summer.

I am torn between going full EV (low Benefit in Kind costs) or taking the money.

If I take the money I need to provide a car that is less than five years old for company use. However, based on the last year or so I do very little business driving - so I could take the money, buy an older car for personal use then hire something if / when I needed to drive for business. The latter is tax-inefficient but it somehow rankles with me to commit to a lease on a car that may well only do 6-8k miles per year.

Anyway - I’m genuinely curious, could you share any insight on length, mileage and monthly cost of your new car? That would be really helpful as an indicator for me to think about over Christmas!!
