Intelligent speed limit warning system

Not at all sure why this system is called "intelligent". All it seems to do is display the speed limit as the car passes a speed limit sign. It doesn't change the speed limiter or the cruise control setting. Insofar as it is interlinked with the sat nav, neither does it forewarn of an upcoming speed limit change, even though the sat nav knows the speed limits throughout the journey to be able to calculate the journey time. Am I missing something?

I agree, still trying to figure out how it is intelligent and still waiting for it to warn me of something. I've got it displaying the speed limit and the speed that the car is doing on the map but that's it. If I go over the speed limit I thought it would warn me but nothing happens.

If you want to be warned if you go over the speed limit, I suggest you use the speed limiter which actually does what it "says on the tin". Mind you, if you're going downhill, it doesn't stop you exceeding the set speed, but just bongs away merrily until you apply the brakes, or the left paddle. Strangely, smart cruise control does prevent you exceeding the set speed downhill. Kia logic !

Every car that I have had with a speed limiter alarms if you go over the set speed limit while going downhill and that is without having an "intelligent speed limit warning", unless that is what it means.
