I get the engine-light for this code, book an appointment for the dealer to look at it, they say that they need to replace a part (camshaft position sensor), put the part on order, a few weeks later I take it back in to get in replaced and a week or two later the whole bloody cycle repeats.
It's all being done under warranty but it's still an almighty pain to go through this every month or two. I'm waiting for the part to be delivered, the 4th time in a few months now.
A quick search on Google suggests that this may be a common issue for that year but I don't seem to be able to find a "fix".
Any thoughts at all would be much appreciated.
2017/18 Kia Niro PHEV - P034x camshaft position sensor
Hi. I have a 2017 Niro 3 and had the exact same fault. Dealer replaced one camshaft position sensor and all was good for about 1 week, then fault recurred. Dealer replaced a different camshaft position sensor (apparently there's two) and all has been okay since. All done under warranty. A pain, as the parts had to be delivered from South Korea.
