Hello,
Have you ever heard of any KIA Remote Assistant availability in the UK, in the future?
I see it's been available in Italy since end of 2016 on all the hybrid Kia cars, as an accessory:

it looks like a pretty advanced range of services, connecting your car to Android/iOS/Win apps + web, but also to KIA/Dealer/Roadside Assistance. Definitely much more than the basic OBD stuff. There is also a parental control feature :D

Hi knea,

Would Kia Connected Services (in UK) be similar?
Now: niro 2 (red)
Previous cars:
Citroen C3 Picasso (auto)
Renault grand scenic 1.5dci on 17" wheels (awful)

Hello Jim,
Not sure, based on the description in the Italian version of Kia.com they seem quite different:
- Connected Services are based on data sent to the car, e.g. traffic, weather, speed cameras etc. TomTom > Car
- Remote Assistant is a service based on data sent from the car, e.g diagnostics, geolocation, antitheft alarms etc.
Furthermore, it seems using an additional small device, to be installed by dealers.

I must admit I'd love to have it, I believe it's exactly what Kia is missing - and not only with Niro!
