Joking aside, I do wonder if it will give Kia a kick up the backside to get the cars PDI'd and registered that are due into the country end of this month / early November. Mine is due at the dealer on 14 Nov, that probably means it will be landing in the UK end of this month.
Do you know any more details about this ? Which ship its on or when it left Korea ? I was hoping my car was on the ship that Arrived at Immingham a couple days ago , but ive heard nothing as of yet , so its probably looking like the delivery that your referring to .

The next Eukor ship i can see due into Immingham is due in 26th Nov , which would probably be a mid december delivery date.
Unless its on a Glovis ship.

I have been told mine will arrive into the country on the 5th (Ordered 24th April), the only boat that matches that into the UK is the Morning Lynn but its due in to Bristol.

Can anyone confirm Kia still ship to Bristol ? And not only Immingham ??

My understanding is as long as they have a chassis number, they can apply for the grant.

That was what i was thinking , but having read an article .........

"“I’d anticipate that we’ll see our 100,000 UK car sales target achieved by 2020.”

Paragon also holds a distribution contract with Volvo near to the new Kia facility and will process around 150,000 cars from the Immingham port.

Its largest operation lies in Bristol, however, where around 400,000 vehicles are processed each year.""

The only other thing i can think of is it will be on a glovis ship and not a Eukor.

Well mine isn't on a boat, delivery time to dealer just put back to 19 December. Going to ring up and consider my options... Including, could I wait for an e-Niro?

I had numerous slips on my delivery date.

Ordered 24th April , was told a 12-16 week wait time . Then the first estimate date given was early September. As early September approached this then changed to End of October , and now early November.

Ive since been told this car is due in to UK around about 28th and a week turnaround , so have been told delivery to me about 5th November.

Over 6.5 months from order date to delivery for me . Think this is definitely too much , and if i had of known it would be that long i would have looked at something else , although nothing else really appealed to me as 99% of my journeys are only a matter of 5/10 miles and the Niro was excellent value.

I ended up cancelling and buying a second hand Nissan Leaf, completely different car, but fits most of the needs we have (commuting) against the rare occasion we'd need to to 130 mile + trips that would require to Rapid the Soul that we can live with. saved myself around £3K over the cost of the lease too
