Hi

Im new to the forum so hello!

We picked up out Niro PHEV on friday and love it!

However at my husbands place of work their are some charge points (great we thought) when he got their to charge up this morning they have the wrong connector.

Ours charging cable is type 2 connector but the fitments at work are the commando ones (3 pin like on a caravan)

Does anybody know of a way around this?

I have seen an adaptor cable but it is very expensive so wondered if there was a cheaper way around this.

He has emailed his employer to ask if there is an option to have a compatible charging unit fitted but no reply yet.

Thanks in advance

Julie

Caravan shops will sell a commando to normal plug socket adapter and then you can plug your 3pin charging connector into that.

We bought our Niro PHEV just over a month ago and are delighted with it! It came with a standard cable car-to-chargepoint, plus a shortish mains-to-car cable. Due to our parking situation, we purchased a (much) longer cable from a small UK supplier who makes them to measure (length, plugs each end, all is customisable), and I believe the cost was just over £60 including delivery to Belgium (delivery part being very costly!) with actual item being around £40 for 20 metres! Extremely fast delivery, too, put a lot of other UK suppliers shipping to Europe to shame!
