Hi Colin Lambert.
Hope you enjoy test but make sure you check out my comments about rear seating setup.
Can you Note the tyre make and version as they may be using harder rubber , ie noiser than hybrid Niro tyres.
The first edition seats may be more gripping than some other Niro seats

Hi kia_e-niro_fan.
Kia apparently monitor all orders to ensure dealerships do not have false orders for fictiscious customers. Of course they need colours for production schedules.
With regard to deposits. apparently deposits are supposed to be refundable provided you have a genuine reason for cancelling. This means ordering an alternative car or medical type reason.
Whether it extends to another manufacturers model is unconfirmed?

Hi H2onorth,

I Just checked out the E-Niro at my local dealer. Its tyres are Michelin Primacy 3 215/55/R17. Those are rated as C for economy, A for wet grip/braking and 69dB for noise at 2 bar by Blackcircles. The PHEV is equipped with Michelin Energy Saver Plus, 205/60/R16 rated B, A, 70dB.

So, if that is anything to go by, there is no reason to expect the EV to produce more road noise from the tyres; it should be quieter, if anything. They do seem to have sacrificed rolling resistance, and although both are rated "A" for wet grip on the blackcircles site, I would expect the 17" Primacy's to have far more grip than the 16" Energy Saver plus'. It's probably necessary due to the additional performance available from the EV.

It seems that Michelin don't even do an energy saver plus that would fit the 17" wheels that Kia chose for the EV.

@h2onorth still find it odd asking colour for a car I wont see for a year but see KIA UK's point to make sure that its a true order, should have said if the colour I chose when the time comes is not possible another colour incase it's quickerbut we'll see, deposit thing is a bit un fair though this far in advance.

I was looking at the e-Niro today online and was amazed by the very drab range of colour options available. Why is it that KIA UK don't seem to think that UK Niro buyers deserve the very same range of coloour options available to European countries ? France, for instance, has choice of eight colour options on the e-Nro whereas the UK buyer only gets five - all of which are 'shades of grey'. We are still in Europe aren't we ?

Exactly and in actual fact it was 6 colours to start with but now you cant have standard white or premium brown and like you say just doesn't make sense and that Europe can have a choice of 7 colours, would have loved to have seen Silky Silver which you can get in Korea and in Europe but not in UK :( it just puzzles me :(

I ordered mine yesterday 19 October 2019, for delivery in March 2020. I'm in Dublin.

Maybe you guys should check out the costs for buying and exporting to the UK.
