Opening boot

Niro 2. Can you open the boot with the engine still running? Coz it seems I have to switch off and remove the ignition key, before anyone can open the boot. (Annoying if you are just dropping shopping off). Please advise.

Have you set the car to lock the doors on driving in the settings? That may affect whether the boot will open when you stop, I have the same problem when I pull up and go to open the rear door to get my coat, I then have to click "open Doors" on the drivers armrest, that opens all the doors including the boot, you could try that assuming your model has this feature.

Cant think if any other reasons for it.

Yes, Same here. My dealer swears that all the doors open when the driver's door is opened in this scenario, but it's not the case - as you say, you need to press the unlock button.
