Carrying a bike on a 2019 Niro 4 Self-Charging Hybrid

I have a heavy e-bike which I want transporting in or on my Kia Niro 4 Hybrid. Now, the car is not cleared for towing, so can't fit a towball. The bike is too heavy for the roof. It's also a bit large to go inside the car without first removing more 'bits' than I care to. Hang it on the back with a 'hang it on the back' type bike rack? No, it seems we can't do that because of the fragility of the rear spoiler (or whatever the feature that carries the horizontal brake light is called). The vertical straps would put too much downward pressure on this spoiler.

The problems seem insurmountable but I was wondering if I could remove that rear spoiler. I'd be happy to keep it safe for reinstallation on the sale of the car. Anyone have any ideas?

That horizontal brake light is a legal requirement nowadays, so if you remove that you are breaking the law.

Thank you Stepshort. I didn't know that. Are you saying that every car produced today has a horizontal brake light.....?

Follow up to this: Not every car on the road has additional horizontal brake lights of course and while, if they are fitted, there would probably be a legal requirement that they work, it doesn't seem to be illegal to drive a car without them. Unless you can show me otherwise.....
